Core Process Psychotherapy is a contemplative approach grounded in a synergy of western psychological theory and Buddhist philosophy. The method is a focused exploration of our thoughts, feelings and energies within the context of a professional relationship. By bringing awareness into how we react and respond to our world in the present moment we allow for the possibility of slowing down this process and facilitating a more flexible response to how we meet arising conditions. This presents the opportunity for the letting go of old outgrown patterns of behaviour and the emergence of new more appropriate ways of responding to present experience.
I am an experienced Core Process Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer. Alongside my private practice, my public sector work has included; Bereavement Counsellling, Primary care Counselling, Staff Counselling for RCHT, Parent counselling for Child and Family Services and for 15 years until August 2016 when the service was decommisioned I also worked for the NHS as a specialist Palliative Care Counsellor. Currently I am focusing on private practice, supervision and my role as a tutor on the Post Graduate Diploma in Core Process Psychotherapy at the Karuna Institute Bristol. I work with individuals offering both long term depth psychotherapy and short term work where appropriate. I offer sessions face to face and also work online (zoom) or via telephone.
