I believe myself to be a warm, genuine, honest and caring therapist who will adapt my approach to fit with whomever I am working, whether that be individuals, couples or families. I strive to keep my approach flexible, creative, friendly, responsive and compassionate and I commit to working hard to help people and encourage and support them to help themselves.
I have extensive experience of working with families, couples, adults and children through my work in NHS Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (where I am currently employed), NHS Adult Services and the charity sector. I am also currently employed as a tutor & supervisor for a CYP-IAPT Systemic Family Practice Post Graduate Diploma. I am passionate and dedicated in helping families, couples and individuals to explore their difficulties and find their own strengths and solutions to managing them. I am particularly experienced in helping families & couples where there is conflict, behavioural difficulties, lack of understanding and disrupted communication.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
