My Approach

My approach is to work alongside you; is to hear about your early experiences and how these may be impacting on your way of being in the world today. Helping you to discover what you are seeking and to help you work through those seemingly impossible parts of yourself that get in the way of you living your life to your fullest potential.

I work from a consulting room in the centre of Bath, within a professional setting.

Please see my website: www.psychotherapybath.net for fuller details of the way I work and my experience.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Bereavement and loss will happen throughout our lives. Living life will bring many unexpected experiences of loss which over time, if not processed and mourned, can lead to depression and anxiety. If this is not given the care and attention it is crying out for, longer term difficulties can disrupt everyday living and important relationships.
Strained relationships within the family often have deep roots and can sometimes result in estrangement lasting years. Getting away from blame and developing an understanding of the family history and discovering what part we have played, may alleviate the suffering and eventually bring reconciliation. Reconciliation understandably is often what is desired though when this is not possible, the process of mourning is important to mediate the loss.
