My approach is friendly, engaging and collaborative; I am interested in how clients are experiencing their life and want to help them consider what best to work on at this stage. I can bring much experience and together we can acheive positive change. The work does not need to be long term; I firmly believe that each session is an opportunity to make a difference and the work can be planned and reviewed in terms of frequency of sessions and duration of involvement.
I can sometimes offer home visits only if the location is nearby and otherwise offer face to face or via zoom.
I am an experienced therapist; I have worked in social care (children in care and young adult care leavers) and child and adolescent mental health services for many years. I also have previous experience working for relate as a couple therapist and school counsellor.
My psychotherapy work has included helping individuals, couples or families with relational difficulties, childhood trauma, neurodiversity challenges in particular autism and mental health problems associated with these areas and any changes in life stage.
