I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and my therapeutic approach is to explore and understand feelings, thoughts and actions linked both to our past and present. Negative experiences can be played out in our daily lives and relationships. Being able to understand our behaviours and make long-lasting changes can help achieve a more fulfilled life.
My name is Edwina, and I am an accredited Psychotherapist offering a warm, reflective approach when thinking how difficult or distressing aspects of life negatively impacts on us. I work with adults and young people. I have extensive experience working in an NHS Psychotherapy Service; Private Practice; University Counselling Service; Senior Management & Safeguarding Lead for a Community Counselling Service serving both adults and young people; School Counsellor at a specialist school for dyslexia. I am a Group Facilitator for Breast Cancer Now Stage 4 cancer groups; Riverside Counselling Service Group Therapy; Kidlington Adult Group whose adult children have complex mental health issues. I supervise qualified counsellors and placement counsellors in training at University of Oxford, Metanoia Institute, London, and Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, London.
I see clients with a wide range of issues which include relationships, work issues, loss, bereavement, life limiting conditions, trauma and depressions amongst others.
I offer face to face counselling for adults and young people from age 16 plus in person and on Zoom. I offer long-term open-ended sessions and short-term work for specific issues.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in Opera and Music Theatre management in UK and abroad. I have a special interest in business management and performance related issues. I also have an interest in life-limiting conditions.

I am an accredited member of UKCP and registered member of BACP. I have professional insurance and I abide by the UKCP & BACP code of ethics and conduct.
