I am an accredited UKCP psychotherapist, offering in-person therapy for adults in locations near Crouch End, Finsbury Park and Archway.
I start from where you are – what you are wanting, where you are struggling – and we follow this thread, exploring with curiosity and compassion the places of confusion, and stuckness.
My role is to get alongside you and understand the world from your unique point of view. It is essential that you feel deeply heard and understood. At the same time, I bring a curious, authentic spirit; I will enquire and sometimes challenge you, in a caring way, as this is what genuine relationship involves.
One way I work which differs from some other models is that you are also invited and supported, at times, to sense what is happening for you in the present moment? What feelings, sensations & impulses are around as you explore your thoughts? By dropping into the felt sense of things, understanding and insight can emerge, which might not be available by purely analysing or conceptualising.
I am a culturally responsive therapist, recognising that my heritage and identities will differ from yours. How you view and experience the world will be in part based on your cultural heritage, race, gender, class, sexuality, age, etc. and you may have experienced marginalisation and pain in relation to these. This may be an important part of what you are coming to therapy for.
I am happy to be able to offer a quarter of my therapy places on a 'pay what you can' basis. I do this because I wish that we lived in a world where therapy was affordable for all who wish to access it, and as I wish to work with people of all backgrounds.
For 'pay what you can' places, I ask you to choose a rate which is meaningful, whilst also comfortable, according to your financial circumstances.
Meaningful means that you are recognising the value of what is being offered, within the context of what you can comfortably afford.

I hold a Masters Degree (MA) in Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy awarded by Middlesex University in collaboration with the Karuna Institute. Prior to the MA, I completed a year long Foundation certificate with the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, in Paddington, London.
I was born in North London and have lived here most of my life, except for university and a couple of stretches abroad.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked within social enterprise, and then as a secondary school teacher in Tower Hamlets. As my interest in wellbeing grew, I become a teacher and supervisor of Mindfulness courses, working for a charity called the Mindfulness in Schools Project.
I enjoy adventuring in nature, reading fiction, dance, playing football and following my local team, Arsenal. I have also had a meditation practice since 2009.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
