My approach is centred on Relational Transactional Analysis, which is rooted in Relational Psychoanalysis. I also blend a variety of other approaches according to the needs of the client and the progression of the therapeutic process.
I believe that a safe and trusting relationship between the therapist and client is essential in order to bring about awareness and lasting change. I therefore put this relationship and its emerging dynamics (what happens between us in the sessions) at the heart of the therapeutic process. In this way, I help my clients to lead more fulfilling lives and attain the contentment they have been seeking.
I am a fully accredited psychotherapist (CTA) and counsellor with an MSc in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute in London.
Many of us struggle with issues arising out of the stresses of everyday life and or difficulties in our past which continue to resonate in the present. Therapy gives us a safe and non-judgemental space to address and explore these issues. As a fellow traveller on this journey of self-discovery, I guide and support my clients in exploring their own stories, helping them to make meaning of their lives and bringing about meaningful change.
Some of the issues I help my clients with include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, identity issues, and loss and bereavement.
If you feel you are going through a period of your life in which support and self-exploration would be of help, then let’s start out on the journey together.
As a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I am also a member of the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA), the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA) and the Eurasia Transactional Analysis Association (ATAD: Avrasya Transaksiyonel Analiz Derneği).
