My Approach

I am an integrative, humanistic psychotherapist. This means I've studied a range of different approaches to therapy and my work draws on those different approaches depending on what a client needs. Some examples include: thinking about the therapy relationship and what may be happening between the client and me that helps to understand what's happening in the wider world for the client, paying attention to experiences from the past and how that may be affecting the present, using stories and images to help deepen the work and, of course, offering a safe, confidential and empathic space as the basis for the work.

About Me

I have experience of working therapeutically with a range of issues with adults. These include depression, general anxiety and stress, sexuality, disability, domestic violence, physical and sexual abuse, addictions and eating disorders and difficulties at work and in relationships. I have worked with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and different ages. My current fees at £65 for a one-hour psychotherapy session and £75 for supervision

I work near Halesworth in Suffolk and at the Woodbridge Complementary Health Centre. I provide long and short-term psychotherapy and supervision.

I offer online sessions as well as in person.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have worked with a wide range of addictions (including alcohol, food, porn and sex). I see these as symptoms of deeper underlying issues and work to gain a deeper understanding of these issues and also to support someone in making changes to their behaviour.
Many clients present with anxiety. My intention is to help manage the symptoms (such as panic attacks, sleeplessness, worrying) while looking for the underlying reasons for the anxiety.
I have experience in working with people who have been bereaved at different stages in life - losing a child, a parent, a partner. Space needs to be offered for grieving and then looking forward to how to rebuild life after bereavement.
I have worked with many clients with work-related issues such as bullying, stress, burnout and loss of employment.
I am experienced in working with survivors of both childhood and adult sexual violence.
