Hello and welcome to my UKCP Home Page.
My name is David and I am a specialist trained in working with a wide range of personal problems.
I offer a safe space to explore your personal difficulties. I am committed to helping you overcome problems in your personal and professional life. I work privately in a quiet, comfortable setting where I see individuals and couples.
You might be finding life difficult to cope with at the moment. Personal difficulties take many forms: anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, poor confidence, relationship problems. Such difficulties can make it hard to get the best out of life and work. You may be dealing with a number of issues - juggling work and children, health concerns, growing older or worries about your sexual relationship. Some difficulties begin in childhood and affect how you are as an adult. This includes a childhood of neglect, physical or sexual abuse.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help you to explore patterns of relationships safely. This can enable you to work through obstacles and help you feel more adaptable, lovable, creative and fulfilled.
Why choose me?
• I offer a warm, safe and relaxed environment in which we can work together
• I provide a non-judgmental and safe containing place to explore difficult thoughts and feelings
• I have more than 30 years clinical experience
• For 15 years I worked as the Consultant Psychotherapist for West Kent NHS.
I am a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF) and am registered with both of the leading professional registration organisations: the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
I am also a qualified art therapist and registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
