My name is Christos Tombras.
I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist, psychoanalyst and clinical supervisor, based in Oxford Circus, Central London (WIW). I am trained in the Lacanian orientation and offer psychoanalysis and/or psychoanalytic psychotherapy in English and Greek.
Rather than providing vague, one-size-fits-all advice, or teaching you how to have "correct", "proper" or "normal" thoughts and emotions in order to avoid this or that disorder, I invite you to talk freely in a safe, non-judgemental environment.
I work in English and Greek.
My private practice is very near Oxford Circus, London.
Apart from my clinical work, privately and in the NHS, I have also managed, for a number of years, a Supported Living Project for people with chronic mental health issues in North London.
I am committed to continuous professional development. I hold a PhD in psychoanalysis from Middlesex University. My current research interests concern a dialogue between continental philosophy and psychoanalysis.
I lecture, run workshops, and facilitate reading groups. My book "Discourse Ontology: Body and the Construction of a World, from Heidegger through Lacan" is out from Palgrave (2019).
