I am an Italian national. I obtained a first class social science and psychology degree at University of Brighton in 2002. I then undertook the four year Clinical Master level training in systemic and family psychotherapy which I completed in 2008. I am also a qualified systemic supervisor since 2012. I have gained a dual expertise in Social Care and Systemic and Family psychotherapy . I worked in a Looked After Children Team for 2 years and in a Child Protection agency for 8 years. Since 2012 I have been working as an independent psychotherapist, specialising in post adoption support (for East Sussex County Council and a national adoption agency) and in private practice. I have been a lecturer and tutor in the Advanced Certificate in Systemic Practice for 12 years. I am a systemic supervisor and trainer and author of Rewilding Therapy. Ecosystemic Theory and Practice for professionals interested in taking therapy outdoors and adopt an ecological ecosystemic framework. I have a special interest in intercultural couple and family therapy and in the past 15 year ecotherapy for individuals, couples, families and groups. I am also the founder and director of Rainbow Community Projects CIC, a non-profit organisation that promotes ecotherapy and nature-based wellbeing in the community
My style of therapy is collaborative, creative and empowering. The way I look at problems, difficulties or concerns is relational as it acknowledges the importance of relationships in our lives, how key significant people in our family of origin or carers shape our current and future relationships. This is why this approach is also called systemic, considering how human systems function and can change toward a more positive future.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
