My Approach

I take a systemic approach to help individual clients, couples and families explore difficulties and patterns that they find unhelpful. I take a collaborative approach to help clients to understand unhelpful effect of past experiences as well as currents conflicts and challenges.

About Me

I am experienced in working with individuals, couples and families. I am a supervisor and Trainer and offer consultations and supervision to teams, therapists and students. I have over three decades experience in working in NHS and independent settings.
I have a special interest and experience in working with issues of diversity and working with teams.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with clients to recognise what contributes to feelings of anxiety current or linked to past. Explore with clients to recognise patterns and ideas that are linked to anxiety and develop helpful techniques and patterns.
I am experienced in exploring cultural beliefs that shape their sense of identity and develop some times unhelpful interactional patterns. I will help the clients to explore untold stories and beliefs that could add to richness to their lives, value their differences and develop a positive sense of identity
Working with clients who experience symptoms of depression to help them explore contributing factors as well as what continues to maintain their difficulties. How these difficulties impacts of their sense of identity and how this impacts on relationships so client would be able to connect with with helpful beliefs and interactional patterns.
I work with students and trained therapist individually as well as in groups. I work with them to explore and recognise strength and areas for developments and also ways to build on existing resources.
Conflicts at work place as well as work related symptoms of anxiety and depression. Help the clients to explore what contributes to conflictual patterns what could help to reach helpful resolutions.
