A psychotherapist and supervisor with more than 30 years experience, my training was integrative, influenced by all the major schools at the time: Humanistic, Psychoanalytic and Cognitive-Behavioural. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to psychotherapy, but try to use the "maps" that make the most sense to the individual client. Since the early days of my training, my interests have taken me in various directions. The therapeutic relationship remains central to my work, as does reflection. I add tools to the mix depending on the issues. These include CBT, EMDR, The Flash Technique, Mindfulness skills, Neurobiology-informed interventions. I work through the lens that most emotional and psychological distress has its roots in childhood misattunement and trauma combined with societal pressures.
Third Culture Kid, born and brought up in different countries around Europe. Child of child refugees. Passionate about my own inner work and helping others with theirs. I work online internationally in English and French, based out of The Hague in the Netherlands.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
