A psychotherapist and supervisor with nearly 30 years experience, my training was integrative, influenced by all the major schools at the time: Humanistic, Psychoanalytic and Cognitive-Behavioural. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach to psychotherapy, but try to use the "maps" that make the most sense to the individual client. Since the early days of my training, my interests have taken me in various directions. The therapeutic relationship remains central to my work, as does reflection. I add tools to the mix depending on the issues. These include CBT, EMDR, The Flash Technique, Mindfulness skills, Neurobiology-informed interventions. I work mostly online internationally, but also see clients in-person in my practice in The Hague in the Netherlands.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
