My Approach

I work ON-LINE and also with some F2F in Port Talbot offering different ways to therapy for busy people, I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and an experienced & well qualified Psycho-Sexual therapist & Trauma work. I take a very relational and compassionate approach. I believe that we are complicated & multi faceted as humans and so take a dynamic & holistic view of the issues we face in relationship. I work longer term in order to allow my clients a space to fully explore their issues where necessary. I enjoy being in active conversations & often use creative approaches to explore dilemmas. My psycho-sexual work covers a wide range of issues of performance through to sexuality ,trauma & abuse.
My work with couples takes a similar approach while using Emotional Focused therapy as a backdrop. This puts the attention back on communication & intimacy.
I also have experience of Bereavement Counselling having worked at a local hospice for several years.

I am a UKCP accred Integrative Psychotherapist with a specific interest and training in the Psycho-Sexual and Relationship field. I am also BACP (Snr) accredited and COSRT accredited. I am highly trained and very experienced with MSc, BA (hons) and PGDip Psycho-Sexual & PGCert Supervision.

About Me

I am a senior , and well trained, Psychotherapist working with Couples & Individuals. My speciaist atrea is Psycho-sexual issues which is a "no touch" talk therapy approach to intimate problems.
With the increase of clients coming with relational, sexuality & trauma issues I added to my training by completing 2 year post-grad Psycho-sexual Diploma in order to be better informed for my clients.
Having lectured counselling to degree level for 9 years & run a local counselling agency, I work in my own practise but still enjoy working with trainees having lectured to degree leve in Counselling. I am based in my Portalbot office x2 a week but also work online Tuesdays to Thursdays thus offering a variety of ways that we can work together.
I also work as a counselling trainer /tutor and clinical supervisor for psychotherapists and counsellors.

Outside of therapy I enjoy photography, the fresh air, coffee with friends , exploring new places & my family. I regularly attend sessions at our local gym and am learning Welsh.
