My approach is relational and trauma-informed. This means I pay close attention to how your experiences, attachment relationships and wider contexts may have shaped you, while also supporting your choice, agency and uniqueness. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches depending on your needs and desired outcomes to work creatively, flexible ethically and transparently with you.
I work with people experiencing trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, relational challenges, loss, body image difficulties and significant life transitions. This may include changes in relationships, family roles, work, health, belonging, purpose or sense of self. Therapy can offer a space to process what has happened, understand yourself more deeply, and move towards the changes or growth you are seeking.
I also offer supervision for practitioners. My supervision practice is collaborative, reflective and developmentally focused, offering a supportive and appropriately challenging space to explore clinical work, ethical practice, professional identity and ongoing learning.
Hi I'm Carlie I am a hypno-psychotherapist, EMDR therapist and Supervisor. I work in a relationalm outcome-oriented and pluralistic way which is focussed on collaboration and centring your experience, beliefs, values and preferences. Together, we begin with where you are now, where you would like to be, and what kind of support feels most meaningful and useful for you.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
