My Approach

I am a BACP/UKCP-registered psychotherapist trained in the integrative approach, meaning I draw upon multiple schools of therapy giving me a wide variety of tools with which to approach your problem.

Therapy provides a safe and confidential space where we can collaboratively explore what is troubling you, free of judgement or agendas, at your own pace. It can offer a fresh perspective on long-standing issues or gain a sense of grounding in the face of new challenges.

Therapy is different from ‘just talking’ or ‘having a friendly chat’ and the therapeutic relationship, more than any single technique, has been proven to be the key factor in making a change. I will bring my expertise, but you are the expert in your life, and together we can explore what it means to be fully ‘you’; what has brought you here; and how you can make the most out of life from here on.

About Me

Taking the first step towards therapy can feel like a big one. So, congratulations on making the decision to come here and look for help. I can help you take the next steps towards a better future.

You might be coming to therapy for help with a specific problem, such as coping with anxiety or depression or an earlier traumatic experience. Maybe something in your life has changed: a relationship has broken down or you are facing a loss, and you need help to process it and get through this difficult phase. Or you might be feeling lonely or lost yourself, or simply stuck in life, and need help understanding how you got here and where to go now.

As well as working within my private practice, I am an honorary psychotherapist at a charity specialising in sexuality and relationships, and have many years’ experience working with LGBTQ+ and GSRD (Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diverse) clients, focusing on with trauma, sexual abuse, and sexual difficulties as well as gender and sexual identity issues.

If you are ready to take the next step, please call me or leave a message, and let’s make the journey together.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety is a painfully fundamental aspect of our condition. I am concerned with how we can find relief from unbearable anxiety and how we can better live with everyday anxiety. I can show you how to reframe these fears into a signal to point you towards a more meaningful life
Depression feels like the end has already come. The lowest point of your life. I can help you see outside of this awful false reality, and realise there is still hope beyond the despair.
I believe that relationships form the basis for all that is truly valued in life, and the most valuable relationship is with yourself. Together we can build that relationship and help you rediscover your relationship to the world.
