Come and talk. I offer a space to sit and talk about life: what’s going on for you, what’s working and what might be getting in the way. We will look at how you come to be where you are in life and how you live now. Our conversations will be reflective yet always with an eye to options and possibilities. The confidentiality, regularity and routine of our meetings provide for you to think deeply about whatever emerges, to see more clearly and to choose what next.
My work as a psychotherapist is underpinned by 30 years’ experience of working with individuals and groups in a wide variety of circumstances that give rise to anxiety, stress, conflict, low confidence and inappropriate or self-sabotaging behaviour.
I am also a qualified coach, mediator and non-practising barrister. I have worked for many years in the legal and commercial world. I have a good understanding of the pressures and challenges that many of us experience in those sorts of contexts.
Psychotherapy and coaching sit at either end of a spectrum. Either approach enables you to address the issues that excite, challenge, concern or inhibit you. People who work worth me select a preferred approach, knowing that they can move back and forth along the spectrum as our work progresses, according to their needs.
With couples, I take a mediation approach and aim to keep a focus on adjustments that can be made within the relationship.
I see people either online or at my home in N19, whichever is more convenient or preferred.
