I offer a confidential and supportive space where together we can explore your difficulties and at the same time consider other possibilities. My belief is that therapy offers a unique opportunity to explore in depth what may be troubling you. This is a time for you each week to express your feelings to someone who will listen in a supportive, objective, and non-judgemental manner whilst at the same time help you to look at your situation differently.
I am an integrative psychotherapist which means I have been trained in many different approaches to therapy. I work primarily with psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive approaches. I believe it is important to think about how your current problems or long term difficulties may be related to past experiences. We look at your problems in the context of your whole life and together we try to discover the links between past and present experiences. The role your behaviour might play is also considered, and patterns which are being repeated are explored. But it is the relationship we form which underlies this exploration and allows for change, awareness and new possibilities for you.
