I am an experienced and qualified psychotherapist working in private practice in the Wimbledon and Clapham area. I offer a safe, supportive and collaborative space where we can examine the issues arising in your life and support for you whilst we explore their meaning and their effect on your day-to-day life.
Why Counselling?
Throughout our lives there can be times when we feel overwhelmed and wonder how we got to this place. Most often clients want help with problems that are causing stress and anxiety in their present life situations like acute and ongoing generalised anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger and frustration, panicky feelings as well as numerous other emotional effects.
Alongside these issues, sometimes life throws specific emotionally challenging situations that we need help getting through. Sometimes family and loved ones can provoke or hurt us in ways we find difficult to move forward from, sometimes it can be a bereavement, redundancy or a sudden life change.
Finding someone to talk to about these issues is a positive step in making change happen and taking control of your life. I can provide a safe and confidential space, separate from your daily life, where you can explore your feelings and the issues that are causing difficulties in your life now.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in order to help people who come to me for emotional support. My years of experience as a therapist has taught me that no one approach suits everyone as each client is unique and individual.
My overall aim is to provide you with a warm, supportive, collaborative, non-judgmental, conversational-style environment where you can connect with your deeper feelings, making sense of them and work through them whilst not being alone.
I have a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am am member of the BACP and the UKCP.
As well as having my own practice, I have worked in the voluntary sector for a number of years providing Psychotherapy and Counselling to clients, the majority of whom are referred through the NHS.
