Human life can be full of challenges, which often seem difficult to understand and manage alone. However, I believe each one of us deserves and has the potential to achieve a happy life.
In my counselling practice, I can support you in your journey to stimulate change by improving the quality of your life through exploring and gaining self-awareness, feeling empowered to make healthier choices, developing insights about your life and developing coping strategies to manage distress.
Getting started and making a first call can be scary, and I admire you for taking the first step. I can offer you a free 15-minute consultation, which can help me assess your needs and decide if I can help you. It is also an opportunity for you to determine if I am the right therapist for you.
My name is Asiya Mohamed. I am a qualified psychotherapist/counsellor with extensive and varied experience working in the NHS, the voluntary sector, and my private practice.
I hold UKCP registration, registered membership of BACP, and membership of BAATN—The Black, African, and Asian Therapy Network and MCAPN Muslim Counsellors and Psychotherapist Network.
My counselling training drew upon different therapy approaches, allowing me to employ the most significant and appropriate features of each. I offer integrative and intercultural psychotherapy/counselling. I consider the uniqueness of each client’s individuality and diversity.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
