I am an experienced Chartered Psychologist, psychotherapist and supervisor, and a registered member of the UKCP, and HCPC.
I have extensive experience in working with clients facing a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, bereavement, obsessive and compulsive disorder, social and relational issues, and more.
Over the last fifteen years I have worked in a wide variety of counselling settings, both in Athens and in London, including the NHS and the public mental health sector, charities, private clinics, university and forensic settings. My dedication and commitment to my profession has inspired me to complete a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, and to continue my personal and professional development by attending seminars in Mindfulness and Focusing, as well as specialised training for various mental health issues.
How I work:
Life is often described as a journey which, while at times can be interesting and joyful, at other times it can leave us feeling lost, lonely, depressed and/or anxious. The focus of our work will be to explore the issues and concerns you might have towards your life, in a safe and respectful environment. We will work collaboratively, and I can help you gain a better understanding of this journey, and how you can choose to live it more fully and with greater contentment.
While life can often feel disappointing and meaningless, psychotherapy can help you feel supported, and can allow you to see more clearly who you are and who you want to be. The therapeutic experience can be the start of a healing process for you, and the discovery of a more fulfilling approach to your life.
Further information:
Sessions last for 50 minutes. We can work short term (6-8 sessions) focusing on specific issues, or long term and open-ended.
Sessions can also be offered in Greek.
