My Approach

As well as the types of therapy listed I have developed a number of new pioneering psychotherapy methods that I have written articles about and more recently I have written a book which contains a number of new techniques that can really accelerate the therapy. I like to work quite psychoeducationally, giving people the tools to help themselves. However, I also like to work very relationally too.

About Me

If you are looking for a counsellor to help with Couples Counselling, Anger Management, Depression, Bereavement, Anxiety, Sex & Sexuality or Addictions, I can help you look at the issues involved and will work with you on finding solutions to your current problems. I am a member of the British association of counselling and psychotherapy (BACP) and UK council for psychotherapy (UKCP) and a certified transactional analyst (CTA).

I've studied many different kinds of therapy from around the world, written groundbreaking articles about therapy and have just published a book that brings together much of what I have learned during 20 years of studying and practicing counselling and psychotherapy. I will help you get to the root causes of your issues and help you move beyond them. You do not have to be in therapy forever, solutions to your psychological issues do exist, and I will help you find them!

Empathy and understanding are a given, however, I will offer much more than that. I will help you understand why you feel the way you do and how you can break out of your stuck places. I will give you the tools to break out for good.
