Core Process Psychotherapy (CPP) or Mindfulness based psychotherapy is an integrative psycho-spiritual approach grounded on psychodynamic and psychoanalytical principles and the Buddhist teaching on the transformation of suffering.
CPP provides an opportunity to explore and understand our current experiences which can allow for a greater sense of wellbeing. Whilst we cannot change our past, we can change how we relate to it and therefore change its impact. The word "Core" refers to the inherent freedom and joy at the heart of our being and "Process" is the exploration of any suffering and our pathway back to this freedom and joy.
Welcome; my name is Anthony Davids and I am a UKCP registered Core Process, Mindfulness Based Psychotherapist and Supervisor. I trained with the Karuna Institute (KI) and the 'Herts and Beds Foundation'; part of the 'Westminster Pastoral Foundation' (WPF). My work is governed by the professional and ethical guidelines of the UKCP and ACPP.
In the past I have worked as a therapist at the Centre for Better Health, Hackney and have had a private practice in Bethnal Green. I now work in private practice in Bushey, Hertfordshire seeing clients face to face and online. I see clients from all cultures and genders and treat everyone with respect and compassion.
In the past I was a professional banker and project manager in a major UK bank (1982-2002) and a CFO/Bursar of a UK registered charity (2003-2018). I began my training and practice as a psychotherapist in 2001.
As an experienced UKCP psychotherapist and supervisor, I will endeavour to offer the support you may need to explore and transform any difficulties you may experience. For further information please refer to my website www.beingtobeing.co.uk or e-mail me beingtobeing@gmail.com. You can also call and leave me a message on 079 8029 2913.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
