My Approach

I am qualified as a psychodynamic counsellor and an integrative psychotherapist. I am registered with the UKCP and with BAPPS as a clinical supervisor.
My approach is tailored to the needs of each individual and can include creative therapies. I am also qualified in EMDR and CBT.

About Me

I work in private practice in Ramsgate, Kent, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
I am also happy to provide online sessions, whether you live nearby or in any other part of the world.

With a background in social anthropology and the creative arts, I have over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. I have worked for the NHS and other national organisations, and run a small but successful private practice. I am qualified as both a psychodynamic counsellor and an integrative psychotherapist. I also have training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy.

If you would like to make an appointment for an assessment, you can refer yourself for therapy. The best way to contact me is by email, and I will respond as quickly as I can. Alternatively, I often receive referrals from GPs and from organisations which provide private healthcare.

I usually work face to face for short or long-term therapy, but am also open to providing therapy online via Zoom. I work part time for an organisation in London and part-time in my private practice, which is located in Ramsgate. I work in private practice on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11.00am to 8pm. The consulting room is a large ground floor office in a quiet road, and there is usually somewhere to park outside.

I am qualified to work in confidence on all issues. Areas of particular interest include bereavement, trauma, abuse, depression and anxiety. I also have experience of working with individuals diagnosed with personality disorders. In my private practice I often use creative therapies. I have several years experience of working with couples. As a supervisor, I have a particular interest in secondary counter-transference and therapist self-care.

I am a UKCP registered clinical supervisor with over 10 years post-qualification experience in working with individuals and groups. I obtained a diploma in supervision from The Society for Analytical Psychology in 2010 (with distinction) and am interested in working with therapists from either a psychoanalytic or integrative training background. I am currently working with both trainees and with experienced psychotherapists and also provide external clinical supervision for organisations.
