Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
I have been working as an individual psychoanalytic and psychodynamic psychotherapist for the past 30 years. I work with people who suffer from a number of complaints - anxiety, depression, bereavement, self harming and post natal depression. I work with people who have suffered from sexual, emotional and physical abuse as well those who may feel 'stuck in their lives' and who lack motivation or do not know what they would like to do.
My consulting room is in a house in a village called Monks Eleigh. It lies in the Brett Valley between Lavenham and Hadleigh and is on the Essex border near Sudbury and Colchester. I work on the ground floor so there is good disability access but you will need a car to get to where I am. There is, however, plenty of car parking space.
I also offer online sessions via Zoom or Skype
I work on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 1pm until 7pm.
I am also a Psychotherapist and Training Supervisor for EPUT, a NHS Hospital Trust in Essex where I work with complex needs and personality disorders. Many of the people I work with there have been sexually abused and I work with their trauma. I have also worked with soldiers and journalists who have PTSD and who also suffer from their traumas as a result of their experiences working in war zones.
I also offer supervision to therapists who are qualified as well as unqualified.
If you would like to see me you could arrange a time to meet by contacting me - my telephone number is 07817 335 122.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
