My approach is strongly based on my training as a family and systemic therapist. So my approach is highly relational, flexible and based on listening and building a shared dialogue that moves toward solution and management of presenting issues.
I've over 20 years post qualified experience as a family and systemic psychotherapist. In that time I've worked in the public sector with CAHMS and social services across several London Boroughs. I also have an independent clientele, and as a qualified systemic supervisor I can provide clinical supervision and consultation to other therapists, social workers and care professionals. My particular experience is working with families, couples and individuals across a range of issues, including relational problems, especially between children and parents and other family members. Chronic illness and men and masculinity, class and employment issues are also areas of support. I have wide experience helping individuals and families with a range of mental health issues including anxiety and depression.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
