Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy can help with developing understanding of the parts of the self that can sabotage a person's best efforts and intentions and through this understanding bring about real and lasting change.
I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with over 20 years experience of counselling and supporting adults and young people experiencing difficulties and emotional distress in their lives. I am particularly experienced at working with adults and young people who have experienced complex emotional and mental health problems, and who may not have been offered therapy in the past to address their difficulties.
I am experienced in working in private practice as well as working in organisations and institutions for 20 years.
I am also available for supervision, consultation and training for other professionals working with people who face complex mental health difficulties.
I trained as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with the Arbours Association, London and have and MSc from King's College London.
I was the director of a mental health charity for 15 years and have published on providing psychotherapeutic support for people experiencing psychosis and other complex mental health difficulties.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
