My Approach

I believe we are not just mind and body but spirit/soul too. And experience has shown me that our most significant challenges can lead us towards profound personal/spiritual growth and healing. I offer a confidential, respectful, heart-centred space where you can feel truly seen, heard, understood and valued as you begin to explore what's going on for you. I am sensitive, deeply empathic and will always work at your pace, tailoring sessions to suit your needs. Along with offering you a safe space to talk and express your feelings, where appropriate I work creatively using visualisation, drawing, sand play and dream exploration. I also draw on other ways of working such as with the body, breath or sound.

Issues
I work with a wide variety of issues and offer an opportunity for us to work together short or longer-term. Particular interests include helping people to overcome traumatic experiences, to build a strong sense of self and to connect with their inner wisdom.

Working together
Therapy is a journey of self-discovery - an exploration of your inner world. It can sometimes be tough-going but it can also be hugely rewarding. Our work together can offer you the opportunity to process difficult and painful feelings, reflect, gain insight, find - or reconnect with - your self, your qualities, all that makes you unique. It can also help you to build resilience by connecting with your inner resources, enabling you to move forward with greater confidence. Perhaps C S Lewis sums it up best when he says: "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending."

If you feel I can help, I'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch by email. It's helpful if you can provide a brief summary (a sentence or two) about your situation. And, of course, feel free to raise any initial questions or concerns. If you decide to take the next step, we can arrange to meet for an initial consultation. This provides an opportunity for us to explore your situation in more depth and to find out if we both feel we would work well together.

About Me

Life can be difficult, confusing and sometimes deeply painful. It may be a crisis or specific challenge that has prompted you to seek help; a desire to understand yourself better; or perhaps a feeling life has lost meaning. Whatever your struggle, therapy can be a first (or further) step towards recovery - and transformation. I have a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from CCPE - a major centre for psychotherapy in London - and have additional qualifications in working with the body's subtle energies. I work with individuals who are looking for help and support to heal, make changes in their life and connect with something deeper within. Before choosing to follow my own heart's calling, I worked in marketing, latterly managing publicity at a national children's charity.
