As an existential therapist I focus on what it means to be alive. By finding meaning and new possibilities in the obstacles life throws up you can live a richer more fulfilling life.
I offer a holistic approach that views body, mind, emotions and spirit as inseparable aspects of being, all requiring care and concern. I will not impose fixed ideas or concepts but I will do all I can to help you make sense of your situation and find meaning. I work in a practical and philosophical way to help you engage and deal with what is troubling you. I believe that respect for the individual, understanding and being real are important qualities for therapy.
I offer short term, time limited and long term therapy depending on your needs. For those new to therapy I recommend 12 sessions as a starting point.
Therapy sessions can take place online, by phone or in person with COVID-19 safety measures in place.
In addition I offer Autogenic Training, a simple but profound self-help technique to reduce the body's physiological response to stress. This is effective for anxiety, stress, insomnia, headaches and migraine.
Helping you find your way.
If you are you anxious, depressed, feeling sad, troubled, or feeling stressed, overwhelmed, stuck or unfulfilled, I provide a supportive, confidential space to explore your difficulties and life's confusions and uncertainties. Therapy provides perspective, makes sense of what has happened and provides a basis for moving forward.
What to expect:
I offer an initial consultation to discuss your difficulties and decide whether my approach is right for you. If you decide to start therapy, a regular weekly session time will be agreed and reserved for you.
