About Me

Hello, I am a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist who specialises in couples and family therapy, parenting and pre-parenting issues, and premarital counseling.
Asking for help isn’t always comfortable, but I find the uncomfortable places are often the ones filled with the most purpose and possibilities. Congratulations on taking the first step! As a Systemic Marriage and Family Therapist, I approach therapy from a systems perspective. That means I view people and situations as interconnected and inter-influencing rather than in isolation. It also means I am passionate about helping people strengthen their relationships, whether that is with a spouse, friend, child, or with themselves. My approach is to listen and engage a client’s story in a way that instills hope, encourages curiosity and insight, and facilitates growth. My hope is to help my clients see the value of the process, cultivate their relationships with grace and vulnerability, and thrive in their purpose.
When people are considering therapy, often the hardest step is making a first phone call. Having spent years training and working in the field, I know first-hand that the therapeutic process can be both challenging and extremely rewarding. I have deep respect for the process of choosing a therapist and value the process that one must undertake in order to find the perfect fit.
My style of working is relational and I believe that each therapeutic relationship is unique. This means that we will tailor the treatment to fit your needs and interests. The best outcomes are achieved when you feel comfortable with the person you are working with and together we create a space that feels safe.
Beginning therapy can be difficult but it often leads to important insights, personal growth and the learning of new ways of living and relating to the world around you.
