I am a Humanistic counsellor/psychotherapist, therapeutic supervisory and qualified doctor. I have more than fifteen years experience of working with people who have concerns to do with relationship issues, bereavement and loss, depression, general anxiety, sexual/physical abuse, poor self esteem, disordered eating, post-traumatic stress disorder.
Many people want the safety of a confidential time and place where they can simply 'offload' something; some want to talk more deeply, unraveling or facing the reality of something painful or difficult from their past; or they may want help in overcoming their fear for the future.
Often people discover counselling to be a place of solace, a place where they find words for previously unexpressed thoughts or emotions, a place which provides a unique opportunity to challenge themselves with different choices and ways of being. Some people come just once, some come for very much longer - there is no expected or anticipated way of behaviour and there is no judgement. All are welcome and all enquiries treated confidentially.
I am available Tuesday mornings, afternoons and early evenings: initial meeting is free of charge, thereafter fee is £50 per session, negotiable if not financially supported
