â—† I currently work as a psychotherapist for a private psychiatric clinic in Osaka, Japan. I also offer private psychotherapy sessions in Osaka or on Skype. Please contact me by e-mail for further details.
◆ I offer psychotherapy in English and Japanese languages and in many cases work for people who have an intercultural or creative background.
However, it does not only mean 'foreigners' or 'creative worker'.
â—† My approach is based on existential and phenomenological theory; however, I have worked in the integrative way in psychodynamic and various philosophical and intercultural environments since 2007. My work also involves the knowledge and techniques of Mindfulness and CBT.
â—† I work with my clients to look into their own perceptions of self, others and the world, for them to understand their present situations and to create their own future. 'Creativity' is one of the important keyword in my practice. However, it does not always mean to involve practical creative acts. It means 'creative attitude' based on thoughts, emotions, feelings, senses and body sensations towards the situation including 'to link with its ambiguity' as it is. It is an attitude to keep 'possibilities' open or new meaning giving activities even to already fixed meanings.
â—† I have worked as a student counsellor at a college for two years and as a volunteer be-friender for 17 years since 1994 both in Japanese and English for two well established life-lines in UK as well as for the several leading counselling organisations in London.
