My Approach

I am an integrative psychotherapist using a combination of relational gestalt and psychoanalytic theory alongside trauma informed somatic approaches.

About Me

I am an experienced psychotherapist and supervisor. My approach is relational;combining psychodynamic and gestalt theories with understandings from neuroscience to support your growth and change. You may be feeling anxious, depressed, uncertain or have experienced life events, uncomfortable feelings about yourself or relationships that are troubling you.Together we can create a safe and secure environment where you don't feel judged, helping you to explore issues at your pace. I have a Masters degree in psychotherapy and a diploma in supervision. I have over twenty years of experience in the caring professions including working as a university counsellor, in child mental health services and in the voluntary sector. I enjoy working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and have experience in helping people with a wide range of presenting issues.

I work with

  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Inclusivity is important to me and I aim to offer a theraputic space that takes account of how people are impacted by heteronormative, neurotypical, class, white and gender priveleged norms.
Feeling depressed or with low mood may also include anxiety and feeling bad about yourself. My apprioach is supportive and nonjudgemental to help support your recovery
My approach to supervision is relational and aims to support the supervisee to build on their strengths and to learn and develop to support their practice.
You may have experienced a recent traumatic event or difficult experiences from earlier in your life or transgenerationally that are impacting on you now. My training and experience can support your growth and change.
