Projects coordinator (EDI)

Salary £33,824 (pro-rata per annum)

Part-time 21 hours per week (0.6 FTE)

Based in London with hybrid and flexible working (once per month in the office)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and proactive projects coordinator to play a vital role in advancing equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of implementing our EDI-BIIDE action plan, working collaboratively with staff, our dedicated EDI-BIIDE (Belonging, Intersectionality, Inclusion, Diversity and Equity) committee, members and external stakeholders to foster a truly inclusive environment within the psychotherapy profession and our organisation.

You will be instrumental in supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity, address barriers to entry into the profession and ensure that our working practices reflect the diverse communities we serve. This role offers a unique chance to make a tangible impact on the future of psychotherapy and contribute to a more diverse and equitable organisation.

Job description

About you

You will be an individual who is deeply committed to EDI and passionate about creating inclusive environments. You will bring proven experience supporting EDI initiatives or projects, ideally within a non-profit, professional services or membership-based setting. You will be a strong communicator, able to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and navigate sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.

You will be highly organised, with strong project management skills and a track record of delivering successful initiatives. You will be comfortable working with data to inform future work and possess the ability to conduct small-scale impact assessments. This is an opportunity to contribute to an important cause, working alongside colleagues from diverse backgrounds in a supportive and collaborative environment.
