Chair of the Membership Committee

About the role

UKCP is recruiting for a chair of the Membership Committee. The chair must be a registrant who has been a full clinical member for at least a year and can demonstrate chairing abilities from experience at committee level in third-sector organisations. The role requires excellent procedural understanding and familiarity with UKCP’s constitutional documents and organisational policies.

The UKCP Membership Committee maintains the integrity of the UKCP registers, primarily through:

  • recommending the acceptance of new organisational members
  • maintaining the removal procedure for individual registrants who fail to meet UKCP registration.

It is a well-established committee of UKCP clinical members and lay members. It plans five 2-hour meetings in 2025 and an in-person meeting in July. The committee chair reports to the UKCP Board of Trustees. Read more about the committee and its terms of reference on the committee's webpage.
