My name is Emma and I am a qualified psychotherapist working face-to-face at Walthamstow Therapy.
I offer an open, supportive, relational presence for you to explore whatever is most important to you. I use a creative and experiential approach to help raise awareness of yourself and how you are in the world. I see therapy as a collaboration – we will work together to see what holds you back from leading a more satisfying life.
My work is informed by my meditation practice of 15 years and having spent nearly a year on silent meditation retreats. I am also a qualified breathwork and pranayama teacher. Having practised tai chi, martial arts and played many sports, I have a particular interest in how we inhabit our bodies and how we move in the world and in relation to other people. I provide an inclusive, welcoming space, whoever you are, including offering LGBTQ-affirmative therapy.
Finding a therapist can be a daunting process. The first step to working with me is for us to have an initial session to talk through your current situation and your hopes for therapy as well as to see if we are a good fit.
I have an MSc and Clinical Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy from The Metanoia Institute.
