I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist since 2009. I completed my training at the Psychology Department at the University of Roehampton. In 2015 I was awarded the qualification of Doctor of Psychology (PsychD) in Psychotherapy and Counselling, this award was converted from the completion of my Master of Science (MSc) award in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have held positions in the NHS and within the private sector and I work alongside a number of local professionals including Consultant Psychiatrists and clinical & counselling psychologists providing a range of different psychological interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or CBT, Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytical, Solution focused therapy and couples counselling.
In addition to general counselling and psychotherapy I have a special interest in the treatment and management of eating disorders. I have worked both in the NHS and in the private sector within the field of eating disorders and am an advisor to a national eating disorder charity and am a member of the British Psychological Society's eating disorder working committee. Although I have a special interest in eating disorders the majority of my work is with general mental health such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders and obsessive compulsive disorders.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
